Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month

Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia among older adults. It begins with mild memory loss and possibly leads to loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment. Alzheimer's disease involves parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language.

While scientists have yet to fully understand the causes of Alzheimer’s disease, they have found a few factors. Some of these factors are genetics, and changes in the brain. But age is the most common denominator.
